Antique French 'St Clement' Floral Plates - Dahlia & Tulip

Antique French hand painted floral plates. Beautiful hand painted floral plates with raspberry and green designs with blue and yellow accents. Two different designs from famous French pottery towns in the Lorraine region. Circa 1880. Sold individually.

Size approx: 23 cm (D) x 2.5 cm (H)

Dahlia Plate: Beautiful design of central dahlia with forget-me-nots, and circular leaf pattern. Stamped on the back with K&G Lunéville, referring to the historic French earthenware and faience pottery manufacturer operated under the names Keller et Guérin during the 19th and 20th centuries.

Dahlia Left: Good condition, 1cm chip on rim, crazing of painting on middle flower under glaze.
Dahlia Middle & Right: Excellent condition. Small amount of crazing and discolouration due to age.

Tulip Plate: Lovely design of tulip with blue bells and signature of the region- feathered painting around the rim. Stamped with St Clement, referring to the historic French earthenware and faience pottery town famous for beautiful hand painted floral designs.

Tulip Left: Good condition, 1cm and 0.5cm chips on rim, small patches of missing glaze and paint on pink flowers and urn. Small amount of crazing and discolouration due to age.
Tulip Right: Very Good condition. 0.5cm chip on rim. Small amount of crazing and discolouration due to age.
