Long antique french cream fabric covered box, with cream paper lining. Gorgeous pink green and blue floral embroidery with bee embroidered on lid of box. Gold trim lining the sides of box. Small crochet hook to latch box closed. Antique french fabric covered boudoir boxes, in gorgeous floral fabrics. These boxes were owned by most French women from 1850's into the 1900s. They kept very special treasures and personal possessions in them, such as gloves, collars, lace, jewellery, fans and love letters. The fabric covering and interior may be a little time worn or faded but this is part of it's history and gives each piece it's own warmth and charm. In modern times they are perfect for keeping your sewing projects organised or storing your fabrics and notions!
