Antique French Embroidered Silk 'Monchoirs' Handkerchief Book

Antique French silk padded handkerchief book.  Hand made from delicate cream silk, corded trim and embroidered floral design and 'Monchoirs' (handkerchiefs) on the front, and quilted cream silk inside. Would have originally been used to keep silk handkerchiefs clean and neatly pressed, but could also be used for organising small sewing projects and notions.

Size approx. 30 cm x 23 cm (closed)
