Slow Stitching Workshops 2019
In February 2019 we will be hosting textile artist Lisa Mattock at Lily Pond for the third time to teach the art of 'slow stitching.'
Our highly anticipated workshops will be held in our shop.
Choose from 2 different classes:
Monday 4th February - Beginner 101
During the beginner 101 workshop, you will start to create a piece that can later be turned into a wall hanging, cushion, quilt etc. using our Vintage French fabric packs in florals and linens of all different colours and prints. You will learn Japanese inspired stitching methods including boro, sashiko and kantho. This style of slow stitching focuses on creating new pieces from vintage and repurposed materials.
Friday 1st or Saturday 2nd February - Intermediate class
If you have completed one of our previous slow stitching workshops (Or any other slow stitching workshop) Or have any previous experience with stitching, patchwork, quilting or embroidery.. we will be holding a special intermediate stitchers workshop where you will learn new techniques and add to the skills you already have. Let's just say it will be the beginning of an exciting new project for you..
Our new range of exclusive Vintage French fabric packs will be released to purchase throughout the workshops.
