Last November we visited the beautiful gardens of the Eyrignac Manor in the South of France. The Manoir d'Eyrignac is a 17th-century manor house located in Salignac-Eyvigues which is in the Dordogne region of South West France. This incredible home has been in the same family for 22 generations who have lovingly looked after the manor and gardens for 500 years.
The stunning gardens were originally inspired by the Italian renaissance gardens of the 18th century and cover 5 hectares of land and include 7 natural springs. There are many different sections of the expansive garden including a flower meadow, veggie garden, pool and colour themed sections.
The most remarkable feature of these gardens is topiary with hedges trimmed in all different shapes and sizes and made from a wide variety of plants.
If you are visiting the South of France we really could not recommend these beautiful gardens enough!
