Antique French Green Woven Cane & Silk Sewing Basket
Beautiful and unique hand woven cane basket, decorated with braided silk trim and pom poms. Fully lined inside with beautiful buttoned green and ivory silk. Diagonal band with small blue knots suitable for storing scissors etc. Stands on little raised round feet. Fastens at the front with a simple loop.
A practical and beautiful handmade item, perfect for small sewing projects or notions. Circa 1920s.
Overall very good condition, with minor wear and tear due to age and discolouration of the fabric lining and trims.
